Calculation methodology
The enrollment rate of children aged 1-6 in preschool education shows what proportion of children in this age group are attending preschool institutions. The following formula is used to calculate this indicator: the total number of children enrolled in preschool institutions is divided by the total number of children aged 1-6 in the population and multiplied by 100. The number of children enrolled in preschool education refers to those attending state, non-state, or other types of preschool institutions. The total number of children represents all children aged 1-6 living in the given region. This indicator helps determine how well children in a region or country are covered by preschool education.
