Calculation methodology (briefly)
Improved sources are defined as flush toilets connected to sewerage, septic tanks, pit latrines, ventilated pit latrines, covered pit latrines, composting toilets. The proportion of households using safe sanitation services is determined by the ratio of the number of surveyed households using safe sanitation services to the total number of surveyed households, as a percentage.
