The indicator "cargo turnover by types of transport" represents the volume of transport work on cargo transportation. The unit of measurement is ton-kilometer. It is defined as the sum of the products of the weight of each batch (shipment) of transported cargo by the distance of its transportation. Formation of the indicator “freight turnover by type of transport” is based on the recommendations of international statistical organizations, the CIS Statistical Committee and the definition of the System of National Accounts.
