Calculation methodology
Accounting is carried out in accordance with Article 44 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On employment of the population”. The number of persons in need of employment (unemployed) is determined by subtracting from the number of labor resources the number of employed and the number of economically inactive population according to the formula: U = LR - E - EIP, where: U – unemployed population in need of employment (unemployed); LR – labor resources; E – employed; EIP – economically inactive population.
