Calculation methodology (briefly)
The proportion of the rural population using safely supplied drinking water is defined as the proportion of the rural population using an improved source of drinking water that is accessible on site, available when needed, and free from faecal and priority chemical contamination. The proportion of the rural population using safely supplied water is defined as the ratio of the rural population using safely supplied water to the total rural population, as a percentage.
